What moves the price
- The part. A control board can cost many times more than a switch.
- Brand. High-end and built-in brands often have pricier parts.
- Distance and timing. Rural parts of Marion County, evenings and weekends may cost more.
- Whether the part is in stock or must be ordered, which can mean a second visit.
The 50% rule
A common rule of thumb: if a repair costs more than half the price of a new, similar appliance and the appliance is past the middle of its expected life, replacing may make more sense. It's a guide, not a law. Ask the tech for an honest view.
Honest limits
- We don't set technicians' prices and can't promise any price on this page.
- We don't guarantee arrival times, same-day service, or that a technician is available for every area every day.
- We don't warranty repairs. Any warranty comes from the technician who does the work, so ask what it covers and for how long.
- Florida has no state appliance repair license. Ask about insurance, a local business tax receipt, and EPA 608 certification for any refrigerant work.
- Not every appliance is worth fixing, and an honest tech will tell you that.
Ask before they start
- What is the service call fee, and is it credited to the repair?
- Can I get the price in writing before work starts?
- What warranty comes with parts and labor?
